    About our Ryan Tubridy news

Latest news on Ryan Tubridy, an Irish broadcaster, writer, and singer, who is known for hosting The Late Late Show and The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ. He is also considered one of the highest-paid presenters in Ireland.

Tubridy has been embroiled in a scandal since June 2023, when it was revealed that he had received undisclosed payments from RTÉ that amounted to €345,000 (£296,800) more than what was declared publicly between 2017 and 2022. The scandal led to the resignation of RTÉ's director general Dee Forbes and prompted an independent review of RTÉ's governance and culture by the Irish government. Tubridy has denied any wrongdoing and offered to repay the money he received. He has also been invited to appear before the Oireachtas (Irish parliament) to explain his payments.
