Utah is considered a red state. In the federal government, Utah is represented by two U.S. Senators and four U.S. Representatives. Both Senators Mike Lee and Mitt Romney are Republican. Of the three Representatives, all three are also Republican. Utah has a Republican governor, Spencer Cox, who was elected in 2020. The state legislature is also controlled by the Republicans, who have majorities in both chambers.
