    Delaware is considered a blue state. In the federal government, Delaware is represented by two U.S. Senators and one U.S. Representative. Both Senators, Tom Carper and Chris Coons, and the House Representative are Democrats. Delaware also has a Democrat governor, John Carney Jr., who was reelected in 2020. The state legislature is also controlled by the Democrats, who have majorities in both chambers.
