    Latest news on Paul Mescal, an Irish actor who earned nominations for the BAFTA and Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as a troubled father in the 2022 drama film Aftersun. He made his film debut with a supporting role in The Lost Daughter (2021) and received praise for his performances in the 2022 film God's Creatures. He received recognition for his starring role in the miniseries Normal People (2020), where he won a British Academy Television Award and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. He began his career by performing in plays such as The Great Gatsby, Asking for It, and The Lieutenant of Inishmore in Dublin theatres after graduating from The Lir Academy in 2017.
