On 14 July 2021, Johnson & Johnson a voluntary recall of four NEUTROGENA® aerosol sunscreen product lines, after internal testing identified low levels of benzene in some samples of the products. The four lines withdrawn are:

NEUTROGENA® Cool Dry Sport aerosol sunscreen,
NEUTROGENA® Invisible Daily™ defense aerosol sunscreen,
NEUTROGENA® Ultra Sheer® aerosol sunscreen
