Salah plays as a goal-scoring winger or forward and is widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation as well as one of the best African footballers to play the game.
The Egyptian international started his career at Al Mokawloon Al Arab based in Nasr City, Egypt before he made the move to play European football with Basel in 2012. After a couple of successful seasons in Switzerland, Salah was signed by Chelsea in 2014 where he was sent out on loan before another permanent switch to Roma in the Italian Serie A.
After a single season with Roma, where he won the Roma Player of the Year award, he made a return to the Premier League with Liverpool and became an integral part of their attack, winning the golden boot in his first season. He has since spearheaded the club to a Premier League title, a Champions League and a Club World Cup, among other cup triumphs.
