He made his film debut with a supporting role in The Lost Daughter (2021) and received praise for his performances in the 2022 film God's Creatures. He received recognition for his starring role in the miniseries Normal People (2020), where he won a British Academy Television Award and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.
